Step-by-step: Moving to the new PC
- Prepare your license key. You can find it in your order confirmation.
- Uninstall from the old computer. Uninstall via Settings, Apps, Microsoft Office. This step is legally mandatory – not optional.
- Install on the new computer. Download and run the installation file from Microsoft.
- Activate. Enter the key, wait for online activation.
Your documents remain unaffected – they are stored independently of the installation on the hard drive or in the cloud.
What to do if activation fails?
If the key is rejected as "already used", it is usually because the old installation is still registered as active. In these cases, telephone activation via Microsoft helps: The assistant guides you through entering an installation ID, and you receive a confirmation ID in return.
