Which vintage is worth it?
Functionally, the generations are very similar. The decisive factor is support: Visio 2024 will receive security updates until October 2029, Visio 2021 only until October 2026. Visio 2019 has been without updates since October 2025.
When do I need Professional?
As soon as a diagram needs to pull its data from a source – for example, a network diagram that updates itself from an Excel inventory list. For pure drawing work, Standard is completely sufficient.
Is a used license legal?
